Fried Mozzarella

Ingredients
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
1 egg
½ cup plain flour
¼ cup bread crumbs
oil for frying

METHOD:
Cut the cheese into 2 ¾ inch squares, approximately 1" thick. Break the egg into a small bowl and beat it well. Measure the flour into a second bowl and the bread crumbs into a third bowl.
Cover the cheese squares with flour, then dip them into the beaten egg. Immediately dip them in bread crumbs, then the egg again, then the bread crumbs again. Fry the cheese squares in the oil until they are golden. Drain before serving.
Serve with tomato ketchup.
