Methi dal
Ingredients
Toor dal 1 cup
Methi 2 big bunches chopped
Green chillies 4nos
Tamarind juice 1/2 cup*
Salt to taste
Turmeric 1/4tsp
Seasoning
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Urad dal 1/4tsp
Red dry chillies 2nos
Oil 2Tbsps
Curry leaves 5nos
Asofoetida a pinch
Method
Pressure cook dal and methi in a pressure cooker
When it is done ,add turmeric,salt and tamarind juice to it.Mix well .
Add a cup of water to it.When it starts boiling, reduce the heat .
Heat oil in a seperate small pan and add all the seasoning ingredients.When the mustard seeds splatter add it to the dal and cover it.
Serve hot with rice.
Garlic lovers can chop garlic and add to the seasoning.It will give a wonderful aroma to the dal.
