Mukkala Pulusu

Ingredients.
Carrots 1no.
Bottle gourd 1/4 piece
Drumsticks 5 cut pieces
Sweet potato 5 cut pieces
Tamarind juice 2 cups
Salt to taste
Turmeric 1tsp
Oil 2Tbsps

Seasoning:

Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Jeera 1/4tsp
Urad dal 1/4tsp
Asofoetida pinch
Curry leaves 6 nos
Red chillies 2nos

Method:

Peel and cut the carrot and bottle gourd into big pieces.
Cut the sweet potato(do not peel it)
Boil the vegetables in 3 cups of water with salt.
When the all the vegetables r cooked add the tamarind juice,salt and turmeric.
Mix the rice flour in 1/4 cup water.
Add this rice flour mixture and boil it for 3or4 mins.
Heat the oil in a seperate pan and add mustard seeds,urad dal,curry leaves,jeera and red chillies and asofoetida.add the seasoning to it and leave it on the stove for 1 min.

Serve hot with rice.
You add rice flour to thicken the mixture a little.It basically acts as a thickening agent.
