No Oil Kootu

Ingredients
Opa squash 1medium
Roasted peanuts 3/4cup
Coriander seeds 1tsp
Jeera 1/2tsp
Black pepper seeds 5-6nos
Red chillies 2nos
Turmeric 1/2tsp
Salt to taste

Method
Cut the opa into pieces(do not peel) and cook on 1/2cup water in a deep pan.
Do not make them too soft.The pieces should be firm.
Add turmeric and salt.
Dry roast and grind red chillies,jeera,coriander seeds and pepper seeds into a powder.
Grind the peanuts into a coarse powder.
Add the ground powders to the opa and mix well.
Cook it for another 2mins.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.

Variation: Green onions can be used in place of opa squash.It will taste as good.

Opa is also known as bottle gourd.
