PINDI MIRIYAM.

Ingredients:
Bottle gourd(medium) 1
Chana dal 2Tbsps
Urad dal 2Tbsps
Coriander seeds 1 Tbsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Dried red chillies 2nos(u can increase or decrease acc to ur spice)
Black pepper 1/2tsp
Rice flour 3 Tbsps
Oil 4 Tbsps
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Asofoetida a pinch
Curry leaves 5 nos

Method:
Peel and cut the bottle gourd into small pieces.
Fry chana dal,urad dal,coriander seeds,jeera,black pepper and red chillies in 1 tsp oil.
Grind all the fried ingredients into a powder.
Heat the remaining oil in a pan.
Add mutard seeds,curry leaves and asofoetida to it
When the seeds start to splatter add the bottle gourd pieces.
Add salt and tumeric powder and mix it well.
Cover it and let the pieces cook for 2 mins.
Add the ground spices and mix well.
Mix the rice flour in a cup of cold water and mix it to the vegetable when the pieces are cooked.
Mix well and leave it till the mixture thickens.
Serve it hot with rice.

Serves 4 poeple.

P.S.-Do not wait till it is too thick before u stop cooking as it will thicken further on cooling.
