Tomato Chutney(1)
Ingredients
Tomatoes 3nos
Tamarind pulp 1tsp
Turmeric 1/4tsp
Salt to taste
Cilantro chopped 1/4cup
Green chillies 4 to 5nos
Seasoning
Oil 1and 1/2tbsp
Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Urad dal 1tsp
Jeera 1/4tsp
Hing a pinch
Method
Heat oil in a pan and add all the seasoning ingredients to it.
When the mustard seeds splatter add the cut tomatoes ,turmeric,salt,tamarind pulp,and green chillies to it.
Cover it for 5 to 10mins.Remove the lid and let the excees of water that came out of tomatoes evaporate.
When the mixture becomes thick ,remove from heat and let it cool.
Grind the mixture along with cilantro.
This chutney can be eaten with dosa and rice..
